LABELING REQUIREMENTS FOR VETERINARY DRUGS

In addition to the Labelling and Packing Rules 1986 following are the requirements for Labelling of Veterinary Drugs: -

             1.           The Label of the veterinary drugs shall bear a photograph/picture of an                                     animal or a bird (in case of poultry use).

                2.                The wording "VET" shall appear in the background of the label.

                3.                Strict adherence to the requirements of the Drugs (Labelling & Packing) Rules,                                    1986 shall be ensured and the label shall bear in conspicuous manner in                                    indelible red ink the wording "FOR VETERINARY USE ONLY" (in urdu as well)
